Sarah Hurley - that's interesting, expat66. Could she have been the daughter of Samuel Hurley c. 1869 and Emma Simcox c. 1862 Oldbury marr. 1888 Tividale? Samuel Hurley's brother Albert 1869-1940 marr. Elizabeth A Cox 1891 was a canal boatman, he fell and was trampled to death by his horse while making a delivery on the Lichfield canal. If it's the same Sarah Hurley b. 1894, her sister Julia b. 1900 married William Bernard Wood in 1919, son of William Wood and Hannah Murphy, grandson of William Wood and Mary Ann Blott on the other Blott / Cooper thread!

Sorry everyone... have to admit I have got a bit lost with the Bastables!

Still not sure whether it OK to assume that John William Bastable(born abt 1896) is the son of this John Bastable ( born 1869) on BCC ?...
and are John William Bastable, Samuel Bastable and Thomas Bastable ( who I have other threads running for ) brothers?
