I also have an 1871 census and an 1880 burial for George.

What I can't find is where Alice Munning came from and where she was in the 1841 census. Can anyone help please?

The only Alice I could see was born Ireland in the 1851 census. If that is her may be she hadnt arrived in England in 1841?

Her marriage cert will give her fathers name then you could look for him...

I realised that both Alice & George had died young so went in search of the children, one of which was living with Alice's parents. All of the relevant records suffer from bad original clerical work and poor transcription which made the searching difficult.
