Too bad the photo is not a Tiger Snake but a less deadly Brown.

Is it only silly tourists that get bit, or do you aussies keep quiet about it??

Lots of Aussies get bit, especially by the Tiger Snake which will chase you to bite you whilst making a barking sound. All of the other snakes will slither away when they hear a human approaching.

As long as you don't panick and don't have an allergic reaction you will be OK as all hospitals carry anti-venom.

A SNAKE, that chases you, barking? Oh good grief!!
