Hi,

I'm looking for any family of John James Farrell born in 1890 in Carrickfergus, Antrim. His parents were Elizabeth Hartfield and Peter Farrell 5th Dragoon Guards and Cheshire Police.

John James Farrell served in WW1 and was injured. (family story is that he had his legs blown off, I think this maybe a slight exaggeration! Or it could be genuine.....). After recovering from his injuries he moved to Newcastle upon Tyne and the rest of the family lost touch with him.

Extra info-

Peter Farrell married Elizabeth Hartfield in Belfast in 1888 at St Anne's Cathedral. Elizabeth was born in 1866 in Woolwich, her father and step father were both serving in the Royal Artillery. Peter was also born about 1866 in Edgeworthstown Co Longford, although on his attestation papers his place of birth is recorded as Haddington Scotland as his father Matthew was living in St Mary's Street Edinburgh at the time. Peters occupation, previous to joining the 5th Dragoons, is listed as Footman.
Peter and Elizabeth had Elizabeth Mary Farrell in Belfast 1888, John James Farrell in Carrickfergus 1890, Alice Edith Farrell in Aldershot about 1892, Frederick Matthew Farrell and Edward William Farrell in 1893 and 1895 both in Nantwich Cheshire and then Thomas Herbert Farrell in 1899 in Belfast.
Edward William Farrell was killed in action during WW1.

If anyone recognises this info or can help in anyway, it would be very much appreciated!
