Hi all,
hoping someone can shed some light on this one for me.
have traced back to my 3rd g grandfather, george king, b1833 St Pancras london. A cabinet maker generally living in shoreditch london. On his marriage cert to Catherine ashpole 1855, his father is stated as Isaac King, occupation looks like engine driver. On what I hope is his baptism record his father is Isaac a labourer and his mother Sarah.
I have searched census records, but find no Isaac and sarah that fit what else I have and I'm starting to doubt all I hvae found so far is correct!!
George king has a sister sarah martha b1828. If there is any other I can post to help, please let me know.
Any help greatly appreciated,
thanks
Steve

Have you found George on the 1841 Census Steve

That's where you need to look. This baptism you found where did you find it

How would you know it was the right one

Do you know that George was baptised

You say George was a Cabinet Maker, he probably did an apprenticeship, I would find the Parish Records and have a look there. Do you have George on all the Census Entries, are his parents living near by, or with his sister Sarah, I would check her Census records too. Linell.

There is this marriage
ISAAC KING SARAH BAKER Marriage: 05 SEP 1825 Old Church, Saint Pancras, London, England
But a birth cert for one of the later kids should give maiden name of mother and occupation of father

Hi cid,
where did you find the 1851 census info? I use ancestry and can't find it there and unfortumately my sub to genes has lapsed, so befre I renew I was wondering wether it was worth it.
thanks
