Hi,

I am interested in information about my great, great, great grandparents.

married to:

Jane ?maiden name? 1796 "“ 1875 born Sedgley, Worcestershire. Jane Massey death registered 1875 last quarter Staffordshire, England. Estimated Birth Year: abt 1796 Date of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec 1875 Age at Death: 79 Registration district: Newcastle Under Lyme Inferred County: Staffordshire Volume: 6b Page: 38

They are the parents of:
Mary Ann Massey 1828 "“ 1887

Can anyone help with information on their marriage (James & Jane), Jane"™s maiden name, James death details or anything else that is relevant?

I am a descendent of James and Jane and their son James and are happy to share info and certificates with others researching our family.

Many thanks, Caroline

Hi,

Thank you for all your suggestions so far.

I am hoping that these may be right but the christening worries me as they were Wesleyan Methodists do they get christened? Sorry for my ignorance. Also, this family seem to be the Gornal Wood ones and I am pretty sure they are not the right ones, see below.

So I could check this further what is an extracted birth on IGI?

In 1841 James was 36 so I am pretty sure that the Gornal Wood one is a different person.

The 1841 Gornal Wood & 1851 Kettles Bank seem spot on thank you.

Best wishes,

Caroline
