Linell,
Here is an unusual one for you to solve:-
In photocopying a marriage cert. for Margaret Parsons to Richard Round on 12/10/1860 I copied the next entry which is a bit of a mystery:-
on 22/10/1860 at Parish Church Dudley a Thomas Hackett Chain Maker of full age son of William Hackett , Nailer residence Dudley married a Matilda Willetts spinster of full age daughter of Thomas Williams Nailer. How can a spinster have a different surname than her father ? Witnesses no help as Jane Smith and John Clarke.
I have checked Willetts/Hackett and Williams on bcc and it did not help.
I did the same in copying a cert. for Susan Parsons who married Edward Ingram in 15th Dec. 1867 and witnesses may be of interest to you :-
Mark Williams shoe maker of Dudley aged 25 son of John Williams deceased Shoe Maker married on 15th Dec. 1867 Dudley Parish Church a Sarah Waters 29 Spinster of Dudley daughter of William Waters Greengrocer . Witnesses:- Thomas Jeavons & Mary Jeavons
