Then realised that with Ralph and Caroline not having married until 1873.. I needed to take a close look at Alice and Caroline Insker... both born before 1873

Need some help to sort this out please ...

Ralph's wife , Caroline died in 1880

I think this is her in 1871 a couple of years before she married Ralph

Is Hinchker another mispelling of Insker/ Inscker/Inskur ( all derived from the name 'Ainscough')

Think this might be the same family as that first 1911 census...in Lewisham St... there are lots of crossings out on the census where birthplace should be... but I think it reads Slough for William Evans? ( 'Ancestry just went with 'England')

Going back to that 1871 census ... I have a new theory... I think Ralph sometimes uses the name Alfred

It looks like Caroline and Mercy were rigistered as Lowe, unless you buy the cert you wont know what was put as Father.

They need to be added as Lowe on BCC as they seem to be registered like that with a note.
