I have been looking at this Enock WITTON on BCC....

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ton-Family

1891 census
98 Gt Bridge St, West Bromwich Sarah WITTON(53) widow born Sedgley,
children all born W.Brom... Enock(20) iron shearer ,
Lucy(18),
John(15) scrap iron cutter,
Joseph Job(9) scholar

I think he married Annie Elizabeth LAKIN in 1893...might be a registry office marriage though?
I can't see any Lakins on BCC but I have come across Lakins in Tipton on census ... haven't found Annie yet though?

1901 census
21 Grout Street, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England
Enoch WITTON(30) grocer & beer house keeper, (occupation seems a bit odd ... perhaps he 'married into this'?... he is back into sheet metal by 1911)
wife Annie E (32),
sons Thomas(6), Job(3) and Jed(1) all born West Brom

1911 census
26 Feering St Newport Mon, Newport, Monmouthshire, Wales
Enoch WITTON(40) married 18yrs..sheet mill worker... 5 children still alive out of 8
, wife Annie E WITTON(41),
sons Tom(16) mineral water works,
Job(13) grocer errand boy,
Edward(11),
daughter Mary(8),
son John(2) born Newport...others all born West Brom.

any good?
