Found a Joseph Baker on RR Roll of Honour and is noted as son of Maj. Baker of 45 Hackett Street on CWGC
This is this Major Baker on bcc

Joseph Baker son 16 Underground Horse Driver
Fred Baker son 8
Samuel Baker son 6
Married 8 years , 2 children ,2 living alongside Alice
and 3 children, 3 living alongside Major
All born Blackheath Staffs.

Major appears to have married twice
a) to an Annie Gadd at St. Pauls Blackheathin 1894
b) to Alice Johnson in 1902 to Alice Johnson Holy Trinity Cradley Heath

There is an Ann E. Gadd on bcc

how many born around that time if only one alice I think connect up

I have checked Nl and think Alice is not one on bcc but daughter of John Johnson Coal Miner born 1843 who is on bcc
