So that looks as though Mary Brettle went out with two of the children? Bad idea, I found this post on a board, regarding William Henry's grave

"Wow to read the story of his family in Pioneer overland travel in the John Daniel Holiday Company 1866. 10 Jul his 8yr old bro dies, 24 Jul his mother Eliz Brettle is kidnapped by indians and killed, his grandmother Ann Adams Cottle and 12yr old bro George die the same day. His grandfather Wm Cottle die the next day. Wm Henry, his father Henry, bro Thomas Edward and sis Annie Eliz go on to Zion. What history we all have."

Mary Brettle who does Brettle/ Brettell One Name Study sent me this info:

Thomas (Jesse Brettle father) was bap 15/4/1774 and is the son of Nathan and Obedience Brettell (nee Tay), brother of Charles bap 5/1/1776 who is on BCC
