I note on the BCC site that someone makes reference to my grt grt grandfather John Cornelius Dickinson. His father is mentioned as David and the line stops there. Does this mean whoever was researching got stuck? Any help and advice welcome. Newbie?
Also, Mother of JCD was Elizabeth Stone and the line goes cold on the BCC after her parents Hannah Hall and Isaac Stone.

Thanks A couple of questions if I may.
1. Why do my family have such common names? Dickinson, Amos and Clarke c 1800? Only joking
2. Is Aston, Hansworth, Harborne, Kings Norton to name a few "Black Country"?
3. Is it appropriate on the forum under general discussions to head a topic with a surname, give a few details and see if anyone else is following a line?
Thx

Ok those areas are outside the BC area
re putting a thread on if you are just after seeing who links to your names you need to pop a post in the
surnames section have a read what to post in that section.
The board with the General Discussion is for threads you need help with
so we have Gen discussion and a few sections.
But don't worry we will move or advise you.
best bet to find who is researching same name is surnames though

Thank you. I will get the hang of it. Please move my posts if I am in the wrong section.
I'll post away and see if anything turns up. Who knows!

It helps now I realise that folk changed their names i.e. Hannah, Rosanna, Anna, Susannah
