Have done a look up for a marriage to a Joseph Ruston and Hannah Pate
She is a widow on it.
Father is a Joseph Lowe

This looks like her previous marriage...

but this is where it is strange
If her father is Joseph Lowe why did she marry as Hannah Poole
she is born abt 1861 so that has to be a first marriage.

So then on the 1871 census She is there with mother Mary and no Joseph Lowe
But the whole family are down with surnmame Poole

and then I find this marriage .....

so how come all the family are not on the 1871 called Lowe!
