I'm stuck already!

Hi,
I am very new, so go easy on me if I ask stupid questions!
I have found my Great Grandfather's household on the 1881 census, and his mother is widowed, so it doesn't give me his fathers name.
I cannot find any of the 3 family members who would have been alive on the 1871 census to get the fathers name that way.
I also can't find a marriage record for them.
Help! How can I find the fathers name, and also the mothers maiden name?

OK, sure, thank you!
My Great Grandfather is Campion Thomas Wallace (born 1876) in Kent
According to my Grandmother he didn't like his name and apparently also used the name Henry Wallace.
I have found them on 1881 census with

Selina Wallace(born 1840 according to this census)
Louisa Wallace (born 1866)
Sarah wallace (born 1869)
Campion Wallace (born 1876)
Elizabeth Wallace (born 1881)

I can't find anything else on any of them to be honest, except Birth and Death records for Campion Wallace on FeeBMD

Thanks in advance for any help!

It looks like you need the birth cert for,

Births Dec 1876.
WALLACE Ca* Thomas. Greenwich. 1d. 907. Campion on image.

Thank you, yes that definitely looks like them.
That makes sense as my grandmother origionally told me that Campion had a sister called Selina, but when I saw the 1881 census I presumed she had remembered wrong, and that Selina was his mother's name.
So perhaps Campion and Elizabeth had a different father to Louisa and Sarah?
Or that Hackett is Selina's maiden name, there's so many possibilities.
It is so hard to find the correct record, but so rewarding when you do, I can see how this becomes addictive!

That's so much help already thank you!

Comparing the results with the birth certificate with one of the older sisters would help to confirm the mother as being the same one

egthis looks a possibility

Good Jimmy!

Serena - try looking on freebmd for a marriage for Selina Sands in 1863. Looks interesting though it would make a curious pair for the other couple?
