A spare look up from RF....

Joseph Taylor 23 Bach Rivet Maker Village William Taylor Rivet Maker
Phoebe Rollason 23 Spin - Village - - (no father named)
Banns
Wit: John Rollason/Hannah Taylor

the above was attached to the following marriage which I requested a look up for.... (see separate thread Samuel Foster and wife Ann)

Hi Mal
Could it be a case of the Rustons ride again?

We have this on BCC
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ton-Family
Josiah Ruston and a "son" Josiah who married under the name of Rollason it says.
In 1881 this Josiah jnr is living ith his wife next door to Joseph and Phoebe Taylor.

And 1861 has
Residence Detail
17 ROWLEY VILLAGE
Given Name Family Name Relation Condition Age
JOSIAH RUSTON Head Widower 56 yrs
JOSIAH RUSTON Son Unmarried 24 yrs
ANN RUSTON Daughter Unmarried 20 yrs
PHEBE RUSTON Daughter Unmarried 18 yrs

So I think that is the girls there, as Ruston and I presume if there is no father down on the marriages then either Lucy Rollason didn't kno or she forgot to tell her kids the name of their father before she died. There seems to be a brother John Rollason too ho could be the witness to his sisters' weddings.

What do you think?

and 1851 has Ann as Jimmy found, but Phoebe is at home as the daughter of Josiah Ruston?

And as things stand on BCC, Josiah Ruston and Lucy Rollason had three sons: John, Stephen and Josiah (all down as Rollason) and they married three Perry sisters
