I agree! here is mine...

Tequilla Sunrise...( wonder what Robs will be! )

13/4 ( thats 3 qtrs) measures tequilla
3 1/2 measures ( thats half) of orange juice
1/2 ( half) measure grenadine

stir the tequilla and orange juice with icecubes in a shaker or jug and strain into a tall tumbler.
Add ice cubes then slowly pour in the grenadine.
Allow to settle but stir once before gluggin back!

I love this and makes me remember my student days at New York New York in Manchester!
who said students were poor!
then onto rusholme for a curry!

So cocktails are optional but if you have one when posting your recipe or a rather nifty wine...then do share it!

So Di wot is your recipe! you doing it aint ya?

xx

Beef Wellington!
With a big hearty Australian Shiraz! (None of your whimpy little elegant reds - I'm for uncultured quaffing!)

For the cocktail, a variation on a "Between The Sheets" (also known as "Maiden's Prayer"):

1 oz white rum
1/2 oz Cognac (nothing but the best!)
3 oz passionfruit juice (or fresh passionfruit pulp - You got it in the UK?) (Can substitute 1 oz peach schnapps if you want to increase the alcohol content  )
1/2 oz lime juice.
lemon twist.

Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
Shake well.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with the lemon twist.
(Or forget the lemon twist and just skol.)
