This is my first visit to this forum.
It is a very quiet place, but i did notice that a lot of the members were only posting 1 or 2 messages, usually cries for help!
Perhaps if more people tried to help each other and returned to check their querie (and thank the person helping) it would be a lot busier and more success rate in answering queries.
You will be pleased to know i actually found the forum by doing a google search. I was looking for a uk genealogy forum.

While I wholeheartedly agree with you it appears your common sense fell on stony ground -they still just 'post and go!'
A Forum is only as good as its least frequent visitors! There is the potential and wealth of links to have a vibrant Forum so I hope members think again and visit frequently and read everyone's needs not just their own! -you can have your soapbox back now

Forums need to be visited regularly and should be living things full of lively members not absent strangers!
