I am struggling to find the record of the marriage of Richard Jackson and Susannah Morehouse and the births of their sons Christopher and Matthew Jackson on any of the main archive sites. I have copies of solicitors' papers deposited with the East Riding archives. They lived in Pocklington in the East Riding in the 18th century. I have the following from the ER archives

1753 Lease and release of property in Pocklington
Parties: 1 ) Christopher Jackson, Hull, Tallow Chandler
2) his mother Susannah Jackson, widow of Richard Jackson Pocklington Tallow Chandler

1755 Marriage settlement for Matthew Jackson and Anne Blanshard
Parties:1) Susannah Jackson, widow of Richard Jackson, Pocklington tallow chandler, her second son Matthew Jackson, Pocklington butcher
2) Anne Blanchard Pocklington, spinster dau. John Blanshard Pocklington butcher

1761 Receipt relating to legacy of Susannah Jackson of Pocklinton
Parties 1) Christopher Jackson
2) his brother Matthew Jackson

1761 Letters of administration of estate of Susannah Jackson widow granted to her son Matthew Jackson of Pocklington tallow chandler

Yet I cannot find any record of their births. Anyone able to help

It"™s been some time since your post, you may already know the answers by now, but I found these on the Familysearch web site at www.familysearch.org

Richard Jackson
Birth: About 1700 Of, Pocklington, Yorkshire, England
Christening:
Death: 01 MAR 1760
Burial:
Marriages:
Spouse: Susannah Morehouse
Marriage: 25 NOV 1725 Pocklington, Yorkshire, England

Christopher Jackson
Christening: 11 SEP 1726 Pocklington, Yorkshire, England
Parents:
Father: Richard Jackson
Mother: Susannah Morehouse

I couldn"™t find a baptism for Matthew Jackson with Parents Richard & Susannah Jackson. These records are submitted by a member of the LDS Church, so you would need to contact East Riding Archives for a copy of the marriage and baptism to be certain.

Just wondering how you know Susannah"™s maiden name, if you don"™t have any baptisms. Perhaps it"™s on the papers you already have.
