Greeting true believers
It's been a while but rest assured I'm still ferreting out information about my black country connections.
I've recently been in touch with someone who's been able to add some buds to my family tree in regard to Susannah Allcock:
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ock-FamilyAfter the death of her first husband, George Roberts [Proberts], Susannah remarried. Her second husband was William Cotterill. The lady who provided me this information has the marriage certificate to confirm the details. This information, therefore, links Susannah to the following:

Ok Doug
do you have those marriages you can post pls
I think you have something with what you have said...copying here so we can check and I will
amend Bcc
"First up a marriage certificate that shows that in 1852 Susannah married George Proberts, a puddler, at All Saints Church, West Bromwich. Both the bride & groom sign with an X.
Next in 1859 Susannah, a widow, marries William Cottrill, a miner, at Trinity Church, West Bromwich. [
the certificate is a poor copy and her name is difficult to read "“ it could be Proberts or Roberts.]
There is some confusion in regards to George's surname Proberts/Roberts - it's probably neither of these but in fact Proverbs - the IGI has a baptism record for a George Proverbs at St Leonards Bilston on the 20/11/1831.
Also the IGI has baptisms at ALL SAINTS,"‹WEST BROMWICH,"‹STAFFORD,"‹ENGLAND for the children of George & Susannah Proverbs -John Henry Proverbs [09 Sep 1855] & Mary Ann [19 Mar 1854]. Given that there are a John Henry [born circa1855] & a Mary Ann [born circa1853] Cotterill living at Stoney Lane, West Bromwich with Susannah & William in 1861 and the fact that William is born circa 1840, therefore too young to be their father I reckon there's a strong case for the Proverbs theory."
can we find any births pls for the above kids
