Help with census for 1881, 1891 and 1901 please

I am now getting to the point where I think I will have to plough through page by page of several censuses to find my Great Grandfather, as he just doesn't come up on a search.
But I need some help to work out which districts I need to be looking at .
My plan is to use 'Ancestry' and for a particular census year go through likely pages.
So.. I need ... the County, Civil Parish, Sub reg district and Enumeration district.

So far all I have is the 1911 census
Oldbury Road, Blackheath, Birmingham William TAYLOR(32)chemical works labourer born in Quinton,
wife Hannah (30) b. Blackheath..married 10 yrs,
sons William(9)b. Langley, David(6) b. Blackheath,
daughter Annie(1) b. Whiteheath

and in 1904
73 Hackett St, Blackheath, Staffordshire, England from son David's birth certificate...David Howard Taylor ... son of William Taylor ( stonebreaker) and Hannah Taylor ( formerly Hewitt) ... at 73 Hackett Street, Blackheath. Date of birth 16 Jul 1904... date birth registered 23 Aug 1904

marriage Dec 1900 ...St Giles, Rowley Regis Groom..William TAYLOR age 22, bachelor, labourer, resident in Whiteheath, father Joseph Taylor(labourer)..Bride.Hannah HEWITT.age 19, spinster, resident Blackheath, father William Hewitt(rivet maker)..witnesses Jacob Tromans & Susan Comley

So, firstly ... I am assuming that he should be in Quinton in 1881 .. so where do I look?.... I know that Ridgacre is Quinton ... but where else could be called that

I have no idea at all where he is in 1891, though by the time of his marriage he is living in Whiteheath.... so where do I need to look for 'Whiteheath' ?

1901 ... I am guessing he might be in Langley, as son William was born in Langley in 1902, but, again, where do I look? ... is Langley ...West Bromwich? or Oldbury?

If someone could point me in the right direction I don't mind the work ploughing through the pages.... I can do a few each day ... just need a better idea of which pages to look through.

This area is so confusing... sometimes it's Staffordshire, sometimes Worcestershire

Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated ... just need to know where to start

Oh, and just in case anyone finds this one it's not the right one, though I thought it was a reasonable fit at first!

(.this family were living at 10 Henry St in 1911... so definitely not mine)
..William TAYLOR(23) brewers labourer born Langley, wife Anne(22) born Oldbury

I did wonder if there are any clues in the names that my grandmother was given ( daughter of William Taylor and Hannah Hewitt)
... they named her Ruth Lydia Mercy Hannah Taylor ... so maybe William's mother's name is in there.. or sisters? .... 'cos that's alot of names for one person!!

areas are Staffs for Blackheath and Whiteheath ( I think)

Quinton was that Halesowen?
West Brom is staffs...or was at that time

father is Joseph accord to marriage

Can't find William in earlier census though. Might be worth looking for a birth. Quinton was listed under Stourbridge at that time.

I have spent soo many hours trying to find this couple in 1901

Never thought to try 'Saylor' instead of Taylor ... but a T does look like an S in that old writing doesn't it

I looked a few pages past them on that 1901 census and came across a Joseph Taylor ( born 1860 Langley) married to a Louisa ( born 1861 Langley) with a daughter Annie(1890) born Langley ... living in Old Park Lane.

They had also been transcribed as Saylor... I am wondering whether this could be my William's parents? ( they would have just been old enough to have him in 1878?). I suppose it is possible that Joseph is some other relative too?... will investigate further.

Could well be them expat - hope you have found the family. I used to live in Old Park Lane about 50 years ago.
