It is a long list....but one family.
My cousin had some researches do some work over the last month and they have given us clues to answer a 20 year old brick wall.
Just need the High Offley lookup to clinch it.
The brick wall is Charles Eccleston born 1833 which we have tacked a couple of times before in Brick Walls.
Surname is Eccleshall, Eccleston, Ecclestone, Eggleston, Eccles, (all are interchagable. Somebody will be baptised with one, registered with another and change between cenus...)
Sarah Ann Ecclestone was born on the 14th May 1817 according to a family bible entry written in 1876.
She lived in The Nook, Woodseaves in the 1841 and 1851 census. That is part of the High Offley parish.
In all Census entries she puts her place of birth as High Offley.
I need her baptism looked up as the 1st priority so we can ascertain her parents. We know her father is a William but have no idea of her mother.
She had at least 4 children out of wedlock. I have found the baptisms for a couple but need to see if:
Charles Ecclestone who was born 24th August 1833 according to the family bible. He puts down High Offley as his place of birth on all census entries but unlike a couple of his siblings, I can't find him on familysearch.
Any Charles that might be him under a different name?
If there is a William Ecclestone with mother Sarah born 1833 +/- 5 year in the register?
Any William that might be him under a different name?
Sarah Ann had at least two siblings.
William Ecclestone and John Ecclestone.
Need the register checked for any Ecclestone baptisms with the same parents as Sarah from 1811 to 1841.
Remember, the baptisms can appear under any of the surname variations but High Offley was not a large parish so the register entries should be small in number.
It has cost a small fortune to get enough clues to get this far but the cost of sending the researches to Lichfield is way too much for my cousin. She is just a wee pensioner in Scotland...

You are right. Bishops Records at Lichfield and Parish Register at Stafford. It says the same on GENUKI.
"The register of St Mary commences in 1659. The original registers for the period 1689-1876 (Bapts), 1689-1836 (Mar) & 1689-1868 (Bur) are deposited at Staffordshire Record Office.
Bishops Transcripts for the period 1659-1875 (with gaps 1662-71, 1678-81, 1692-96 & 1721-27) are deposited at Lichfield Record Office.
A transcript of the register for the period 1659-1812 has been published by the Birmingham & Midland SGH. "
