I know that we have moaned some times about gravestones being removed. An 8 year old Swedish/Icelandic girl died today when she was climbing on a gravestone and it fell over on top of her

It must be aweful for her family, but I do wonder where the adults were in this case.

Oh what a shame and must have been such a shock for the family.
But I did think who was she with to be climbing the headstone?

Well, at 8 yearsold there may not have been anyone nearby. You don't watch them all the time at that age do you?

No I dont suppose you do. If the family were out at a cemetery you dont know why they were there or how upset they were?
So sad though poor little girl.
I dont know what you can do about it either? My mother in laws family grave has a few there and as a family it is kept tidy. But her eldest brother has the deeds and I dont know if he incurrs any fees?
People move around and they do become unkept... I would have thought its the families responsibilty to keep it? I know we had to have some sort of planning permission for my mother in laws head stone, cant remember it all now.
