ARC TBC................Information On Marriage Certs.

I have just received a copy of the marriage certificate for William PRICE b.1822 and Elizabeth WHALE b.1822, they married at St John Parish Church Halesowen on 11th March 1844. On the certificate (obtained via the GRO), Williams father Joseph PRICE b.c.1785 is not shown as deceased although he is believed to have died from drowning in 1832.
Is this something that should concern me or is there a way that I can check whether the father had indeed died prior to the marriage. There is doubt as to the birthplace of Joseph, believed to Monmouthshire, although there is a birth recorded in Halesowen in 1785 to a William and Phebe PRICE which would fit with what is known.
Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.
Regards
David

Hi David,
Don't get concerned about it, they don't always show deceased on marriage certs.
