Hi All I have found the following information on the Batchelor family living in Dankin Street and think this may be the parents of John Batchelor who was living in the same street in 1881.....Please see BCC entries for Batchelor

so I think it does look ok for John to be son of John and martha

Emma would fit with Emma 25, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth in 1881, and Thomas and Elizabeth's ages fit fine. Might be worth looking at the 1881 image to see if John Batchelor is 28 or perhaps 23?

only the 3 yearold is down as Julia A Batchelor grandson

which seems to line with Julia Ann aged 13 in 1871 so it can't be John at all.

Perhaps they connect like that? Might be worth checking the marriage for Thomas and Elizabeth Crow, see if his father is Richard? Old Swinford, 25th Feb 1854.

This would make Thomas the uncle of the John nextdoor in 1881 (I think).
