NL here is some info on Richard WHITE ( spin off from Sam HOMER thread)

On that Sam HOMER thread ... Sam is living with Eliza Jane JONES a widow on the 1891 census

I think the Richard White who is the father in this 1851 census may be this one on BCC?

I was wondering about those witnesses Noah and Ann WHITE .... would Noah be her uncle as there was a Noah White born in 1878

They do seem to be linked but whether this was a formal 'marriage' between Sam Homer and Eliza Jane I'm not yet clear
I'm confused about how they described themselves on those censuses!

Sorry Linell.... I didn't explain myself very well there
but thankyou for clarifying those occupations for me

I'm OK with the 'Whites' ... it was the relationship between the daughter Eliza Jane White and Samuel Homer which I am unsure about .... whether he was her second husband or whether they just lived under the same roof?
