I can't find what happened to William.

Lucy dissapears after the 1881 census.

Marriage was 29th October 1876 at St Thomas, Dudley.

William is living in Dudley with occupation Puddler. His father Thomas was a collier but is deceased on the marriage cert.

Can anybody find William and his parents in a census.

Can anybody find what happened to Lucy after the 1881 census where she is living with her parents but not William.

Woops.....

His father is Joseph...not Thomas....otherwise that 1881 and 1871 census would have been a good fit.

24 when he got married so born abt 1852.

That is the problem...I can't find William Webb in 1881 but Lucy says she is married, not widowed.

I can't find Lucy after 1881.

I can't find William with his father Joseph prior to 1881.

I have noidea where William was born.

Have you used Ancestry or FMP, sometimes the transcriptions are different? I can have a look on FMP if you like!

Would this one fit?

Bapt 26 Nov 1854 Bilston High St Primitive

William Webb, father Joseph Webb (puddler), mother Maria, address Coseley Street.

(Off Freereg site)

Perhaps you could see if there is a William with a mother Maria in the census?
