Has anyone come across the family of Robert and Elizabeth Evans (Kingswinford and Cradley)in their research? Am trying to trace Emma chr 4 Sept 1837 Brierley Hill (marriage to William Onions 1861) - was hoping a census record might lead me to the rest of the family but not succeeded so far with 1841. I think Robert died in 1838 - so where were the others after this.

Hi there
Have Robert Evans on marriage of daughter Elizabeth in Nov 1848 as Millman and deceased. Emma is a recent find and was hoping that, as probably the youngest, she would be the clue to where the mother and family were in 1841 and 1851. Have been looking for siblings called Martha, Thomas, Robert, Elizabeth.
Struggling as census providers seem to have different records for Emmas.
Onions family there on 1881 at 1 Bedford Street Tipton.

If this is the right one Emma may be under the name Harris in 1841.

This is just brilliant! Really excited as it is the first breakthrough with the Evans family in ages.
I spotted Emma's christening recently and then that her father was Robert on the marriage - and realised that there was a youngest member of the family. I kept believing I'd find Emma and her mother but was looking for the earlier records. Should have thought about a remarriage too.
Looks like Robert 1838 deceased is the right one and I now have a lead on wife Elizabeth back to Bewdley.
Can't believe that Emma did hold the clue to them after all.
Many many thanks

I found these
Evans baptism's in the Cradley Register:-
12.5.1833 Robert son of Robert and Elizabeth Rowley Regis Millman
10.1.1830 Elizabeth da of Robert and Elizabeth Rowley Regis Forgeman
23.12.1827 Thomas son of Robert and Elizabeth Rowley Regis Forgeman
I can't find the family living in Cradley, to me it looks like they lived in probably Cradley Heath Rowley Regis and worshipped at St Peter's Church. Robert Snr probably worked at Cradley Forge, there was a Forge there on the River Stour. Do you know how he died, was it an accident

Elizabeth jnr later gives birthplace as Corngreaves so that fits. Two siblings were christened in Brierley Hill, and the others in Cradley. Will be sending for certificate to find out what happened to Robert.
The Harris family Lockside Tipton address is next door to the married daughter Elizabeth Griffiths too.
Today's efforts from everyone have moved this from 1823 back to the 1760s with leads now in Cleobury, Rock, Kinlet and Bewdley. I am very interested in family migration routes into the area! Fascinating stuff.
