My brick wall,
I am trying to find the father of Thomas Morris, this is what I have,

Thomas Roberts, christened 18/09/1835, illiegitamate, born Kidderminster.
Mother, Priscilla Morris,
Priscilla Morris, born Diddlesbury, Shropshire.
Parents John Morris, and Mary Breakwell.

Priscilla Morris, married William Haynes 2nd qtr 1841, Birmingham,


1841 census, Kidderminster.
William Haynes, 44, born, Wixford, Warks
Priscilla, 31, born, Diddlesbury, Shrops

1841 census, Bird Lane, Kidderminster.
John Morris, head. 60, born out of county.
Mary Morris, wife. 60, born out of county.
Thomas Morris, grandson. 5, born Kidderminster.


1851 census, Wolverley.
William Haynes, 54, head, Shoemaker, born Wixford,
Priscilla 41, wife, born Diddlesbury.
Thomas Morris, 15 son, shoemaker, born Kidderminster.
William Haynes, 8 son, born Wolverley.
Matthew Haynes 6 son,

Marriage, 07/02/1859, St Mary's, Kidderminster.
Thomas ROBERTS Morris, age 22, Shoemaker, Father, Thomas Roberts, shoemaker.
Louisa Gould, age 18, Father, George Gould. Weaver.


1861 census Worcester,
Thomas Morris, 24, Cordwainer, born, Kidderminster.
Louisa Morris 20, born, Kidderminster.
Henry 2, born, Kidderminster.
Agnes 1 month, born, Worcester City.

1871 census Kidderminster, 18 South St.
Thomas Morris, 35, Shoemaker, born, Kidderminster.
Louisa Morris, 29, Linen Winder, born, Kidderminster.
Plus 5 Children.


1881 census Kidderminster, 18 South St.
THOMAS ROBERTS MORRIS, 47, shoemaker, born Kidderminster.
Louisa Morris, 40,
Plus 5 Children.

1901 census Kidderminster, 19 South St.
Thomas Morris, 65, Shoemaker, Born Kidderminster.
Louisa Morris, 59, Shopkeeper, born Kidderminster.

He started to use Roberts as his middle name on the marriage.

Can anyone find Thomas Roberts, shoemaker in the 1841 census. ANYWHERE.

Could it be Thomas snr's kid.... there's quite an age diff of 29 yrs

This family is surrounded by Grocers, shoemakers, cabinet makers etc.... the Roberts occupations are hard to read looks like Hamlin or Hamlen, I've looked thru the 'old occ's' don't see it, does anyone know what the occ could be?

Its possible he was conceived in Shropshire, and the family moved to Kidder before he was born.
