Hi all...my gt, gt, grandadddy is giving me problems! James Bailey was born in Studley Warks in 1842, lived mainly in Gt Alne, Warks. Married possibly an Ellen Coon or Coln? His father may be John..
Can anyone help me find his birth details, particularly his mum's name, and/or his wedding details.
Many thanks
Sharon

Children are correct (Harriet is my gt granny)

Is there a death for Helen..or a birth / death for James in your secret store?

I only posted this one because you said he married an Ellen, but it looks like he married Amelia, I can't see a marriage on any other sites, so you would need to find him in 1851, or 1861, to see if he his with parents. Or to order the marriage cert, I don't have full access to the census's.

The Ellen, is just a chinese whisper Jimmy..the only certainties are Harriet's daddy was James, b. Studley, and the family lived in Gt Alne...I'll go census searching and see if it's the same James with 2 marriages, or 2 different James...
thanks for taking the time Jimmy..much appreciated.

In 1881 still Gt Alne wife is AMELIA from Pershore. Children Harriet 12, Emily 11, James 9, Henry 3
IN1891 Gt Alne, wife is Ellen again! Children Henry 13

As Jimmy found 2 marriages...I'm confused!

Ive been looking to see if I could find Jane, daughter, in 1861 as she is showing 11 on census in 1871.

??
Theres a Jane Read as a Pauper Workhouse in Holy Cross born 1860 in Cropthorne Worcester. Thats near Pershore where the census says she was born.

Just guessing though.
I think you woud be best buying a birth certificate for mothers maiden name.
Jo :)
