Hi

Has anyone access to the 2003 - 2006 electoral roll - if so this could be the end of my 5 year search for living relatives. If you have access can you PM me for details. I have the family pinpointed but cant get access.

I think this is only available on 192.com, but it is chargeable. The cost per view is dependent on how many credits you purchase and you need to know where your relatives are now living.

Thank you thats where I found the family but to be honest it looks like it cost nearly £10.00 for credits.

Thats why I was hoping some one might be able to help.

I know the family are listed but could not get the details

I did think afterwards I wonder if this sort of information is in the local library as well.

Even if it is I am in Somerset.

You can find them all in the archives, but they are only held in the local archives. They are listed by street names, not people's names, so you will need to know where they were living in those years. I've looked through the electoral rolls at my local archives, and it is a hard slog, if you don't have the street information.

I dont have the street this is a living relative search and I only have the names but found them on 192. I was rather hoping that some one may have a subscription to the site and do a look up for me.

I don't think you can buy a subscripton to 192.com - I think you can only buy credits

Googling 'how to find electoral roll info' threw up several possible sites, all paid for and this one: http://www.findaparentorchild.co.uk/ which claims to be free. I haven't tried it so don't know how accurate their claim is.

Google is your friend (despite the fact they keep trying to foist Google Chrome on me without my consent ) but be careful about where you look, there are some very odd people out there.

Thanks for trying but both avenues are not as simple as made out to be and want credit card details

Oh my goodness I just found the family on facebook 5 years and I might have found them. I need 2 certificates been waiting for 2 weeks if they are correct my search could be at an end. I am The woman even looks similer to the person I have been searching for it could be her daughter.

Well done - hope they turn out to be your family. I use facebook, I find it really useful to keep in touch will rellies living overseas and my niece's show bus life in London, but I have noticed they they have quite an extensive genealogy network.

I see that the new beta Ancestry.com tree builder Mundia has a facility to link to FaceBook, are they, perchance, owned by the same company?

Don't think so - loads of companies now have links to Facebook
