Sometimes you have to go with what you think is correct based on some look ups, etc etc and then an educated guess
and on BCC if we stick our name at least we know then who has added it
so if it all unravels I will be the one that cops it and gets my hands slapped.


But I think this has been a good one to dive into!
and the truth will out!!

There's a baptism at Halesowen 17.2.1819 for a Joseph ? son of Wm and Winifred Toy Hill Nailer. The question mark is for an unreadable name in my transcript, but as we all know not everyone is known by the names they were baptised with

Hmm, so William Toy married a Winifred, may not be the same William Toy, there were a couple during that century in that area who were not related to my research, not directly anyway.

I've been completely snowed under with work so not been able to dedicate anytime to this.

At the moment I don't need anything - or I do, but I can't really concentrate on developing a train of thought. Just wanted to be courteous and reply to explain the situation.

Possible death match for William Toy b abt 1793.

Shows a William Toy d 1871 83 which would put his DOB at 1788.

Now I know he was alive 1861 and he wasn't on the 1871 census and his wife was then down as a widower again.

So I searched for death records between 1861 and 1871 in the area. But it seems they don't give ages until 1867.

Does anyone agree?
