There's a Family Tree on Ancestry with this family - Parrott Family Tree (Owner: pauldevey). The Devey name has come up recently on this forum. Do we have Paul on here?

Just having a look at this and I think that all those kids Maria, Matilda , George and Rubin are all the kids of John Parkes and Mary Lowe.

If that marriage here...1857 Marriage

is Maria Parkes she must be dau of Mary Lowe too.
and her 2 kids are visiting in 1861 John Darby and 1881 Ann Maria Darby.

So did this John Parkes actually marry before to a Mary Hipkiss.
there are a huge amount of Parkes in that area.

also that Marriage to a Mary Lowe in 1849 doesnt seem to fit.
I have looked at the Rowley book
and the marriage is as follows...

27 may 1849 St Giles Rowley Regis
-John Rose X Parkes 25, bach , miner of village, s of Jospeh a nailer and Mary X Lowe 31, sp of Village d of Samuel a nailer
by banns
Wit- John Lowe and Agatha X Lowe

so the age is out age 25 at marriage so b 1824 should be b 1814 accord to census ( of course this could be a t/c error)
the occupation on marriage says miner
the middle name is Rose no mention down the census for John as having rose as middle name
but why down as a bach if married before?

So I wonder if all kids are theirs
the marriage could be correct but then some of the info is odd- bach/miner/age/midle name

we need to look at that marriage for Maria Lowe
