Yes, I agree and at least this rain should soften up the ground a bit, although it needs to STOP!!! before we can carry on. I'd be grateful if we could have our Summer back please.

Sorry, I can't find my birth certificate so don't know what age to act.

Is that genealogical enough for you?

I've got some topiary shears, that I use for trimming my Box Hedge around my Herb Garden, they are small but not as small as the ones we found. I don't think they would cut through anything very substantial. That's why I was thinking of Box bushes, as they have to be regularly trimmed, only cutting into the leaves really, not into the woody part. Might do for trimming chicken off the bone but again don't think they would manage tougher meats, would they need sharper points for that? What about for trimming up the neck, at a Barber's, back in the days of a short, back and sides?

This is so funny and yet another of my weird moments. First of all, when we dug the mystery item up, the first thing I said was " It's a Swiss Army knife" Like I ever had one of those!

This evening, the nagging voice that lives in my head and drives me to do things, told me that as it was obviously stainless steel, there should be a maker's mark on it and probably on the broken blade. So I had a good look. Saw nothing. Washed it and scraped away the rust from the nut that holds the blades together and on the broken blade)........What did I see??

Victoria Inox Made in Switzerland. Little bit missing then ostfrie (I'm guessing Rust free and then Stainless + Patent ang

Had a quick Google and here we are CLICK HERE This is the company and guess what they make? ... Swiss Army Knives. Couldn't find our particular thing but we are getting near to nailing it

Read about the company HERE Interesting stuff!
