we can only add what we can verify
it would be interesting to know if that W is for Winn
and if in his book he talks about his family
as we don't really know if Madeline left home or not I can't see it other
than in the Express and star and it could be wrong.
Do we have a death for Ethel pls in Australia
and do we have her dob that 1897 is very early

According to the Daily Mirror, his wife died in 2003, age 98, so born about 1905.
