Many thanks for all your help but I think my initial query about the 1841 Census for Joseph and Rebecca has been answered - no one has come across them. I have found Basterfields in France at this time so they are possibly in France or on their way back. Good to double check everything. So for me the 1841 Brick Wall query is COMPLETED.
For the record there are 3 Benjamin Bastable births at St. Johns, Halesowen. 2 to Joseph and Rebecca and 1 to Joseph and Mary. 2 die as infants. Benjamin appears on the 1841 Census in Islington aged 20 with parents Joseph and Mary Bookerfield on Ancestry. None of my Basterfields seem to be good at ages which is complicating everything.
