I have recently read a fab one of how a lonely 50year old
was going thru some photos and found one of a Fire fighter from years ago
Strong, manly with a winning smile
and the fire fighter weren't bad either....anyway she somehow goes back to that time
he was that young handsome officer ...................and relit her fire

Coincidentally a friend's sister has just retired from the fire service in Bristol, I think she was the first British firewoman of the modern age. I think I know what she'd do with any of your pedestals.
She brews damn good beer too.

Well back to the original thread, A really good read, I got my book from library to day and so for I'm really enjoying it, so thanks BCWench for telling us about it.

Hi BCWench finished the book 'Guard a Silver Sixpence' and have to agree it was a really good read, Cawthorne where Hannah started her married life I visit often , we go to Cawthorne Country Park and it is a lovely place to walk round the gardens are really nice, one of the mines that is mentioned is now a museum,
