That the Irish site I did a lookup on.

Problem with Powell is that is can have a very different gailec spelling such as Peull.

Certainly there is nothing under a Nathan Powell.

1841. Bromley, Kingswinford.
James Powell 20. Miner.
Mary Powell 20.
Mather Powell 20.
Prissila Powell 25.
Wm Powell 9 MO.
Wm Powell 10.

Only William born in County, others born in foriegn parts.

FMP has Mather as Nathan so followed this idea up and
1851 Bromley, Kingswinford
POWELL, Nathaniel Head Married M 35 1816 Coal Miner Llangonttham Radnorshire
POWELL, Prescillaim Wife Married F 40 1811 Little Dawley Shropshire
POWELL, William Son Unmarried M 10 1841 Kingswinford Staffordshire
POWELL, Jesse Son Unmarried M 5 1846 Kingswinford Staffordshire

So I don't think there is a MAther connection

I think MArk was referring to my post on the possible Mather connection!

Is this still a Brickwall, or have you solved it?

Unless otherwise advised this will be moved to the Brickwalls Archived section
