Looking at that photo, which has my index finger (not my toe

) next to it, you can see they are quite small clippers, shears, I have very small, dainty hands, compared to the rest of me if that helps with the size. It's that unusual guard, or spring, on the inner side of the blades, which makes them seem to have a quite specific purpose. The question is, what?

I did think Bonsai sheers, but that'd be relatively new in the UK, wouldn't it? Could they be used in the textile industry?
