Is the Hotel Piccadily to the left and was Woolies straight ahead in that photo

Yeah, Woolies was the big white building (but I don't know when it closed down, as I don't remember there ever being one there).

I think the picture was taken from the Ramada Jarvis at Piccadilly Gardens, other than that the only hotel I can think of in that area is the white building with the yellow "dome" things.
