Nick the marriage that Jimmy flagged in 1881 has a vol and page no
that can then be obtained from the GRO. You can do that online if you wish it will cost you £9.25
or you can go via the local registry office, I think they are very good and you can ask them to send it you
giving them the details.
I think that would be Stourbridge Registry Office, or Dudley you would need to contact them to find out.
£9 at local offices.

This link is very good for giving the church and the number at the end shows the entry no in that Parish register.
That can then be looked up at the archives either by yourself, or you can ask the archvies (may be a charge) or if someone
is going you can add to the list under look up requests. (pls put on the thread entitled Dudley and Smethwick look ups post here- if your look up
is for Dudley or Smethwick---it is only as and when so pot luck on that one really)

Well it's an interesting line of investigation. By the way what is FMP?

I was also trying to see if Eliza got married, cos a certificate would have her fathers name on it wouldn't it?

I'm actually setting up a meeting with my Father's aunt who was the granddaughter of Edwin, so she may have some information for me.

There's an Edwin Toye in 1911 b1862 in Aston, Warwickshire. Which looks like the same Edwin who is a bricklayer - I will need to get some credits for the 1911 site later this month.

Also, could this be Ellen Toy?
