i wold be incline to think elizabeth and mary ann are maria/mary daughters one from her first marriage other before first marriage you need to track down a christening for one or both

Hampton Bishop, is just outside the town of Hereford

and Norton Herefordshire will come under broomyard i would think

old maria could have married three times ajohn philips .john wall plus william freeman i would not have thought that mary
would have been her only child she was in her 40s when she had mary. i know bromyard very well.

I have added some info on this lot
and attached my notes to it.
I think it is a possible and have added as such.

as Pete says that marraige info would confirm spinster hopefully on the Phillips one
and wid on the Wall one

there is a bapt but not sure if her or if Orcop is near the area etc
so have left that one

MARIA ELLAWAY Christening: 08 MAR 1778 Orcop, Hereford,
Parents:
Father: THOMAS ELLAWAY Mother: SARAH Extracted birt

So the county express is also at the Dudley archives if you ever go there
They do I think cataglogue some of the entries so you could have a look thru those there might be a ref to Nelson or something.
Although I go to Dudley I avoid looking at the newspapers unless I can go exactly to the page etc.

So not sure if you want this whole topic moved to brick walls or to look up requests section or do you need any more info on this actual thread.

It is great you are in touch with Jane 2009....this forum is all about bringing people together and sharing information

Although poss just a coincidence, I have an Andrew Nelson Evans b1907 son of John Evans b1858 Cradley Heath and Mary Ann (Davey) b1866 Membury, Devonshire.
They married in 1885 St Hellier, Jersey.

I wonder why they chose :? Nelson for his middle name
If you would like to have your ancestors photo's included in our Gallery, please send me a pm.

Hi Sue. Mom and dad are well thankyou. Hows Joy?
I have a question. If Marie was born in 1777  and died in 1882 then she'd be 105 or am I getting confused.
