So one of these could be his second wife.

This one fits with Maria's age through the census's.
1851. Cradley.
Joseph Westwood 50.
Sarah Westwood 59.
Maria Westwood 24. Unmarried. born Cradley, Worcestershire,
There is no Maria Edmonds that fits.

Look the only thing is that Maria....we dont know her maiden name do we..so she needs to be Maria Unknown
have we any links with these names Dunn etc...

Ok Northern Lass I've got my head round this lot now <I think
> and I've put John's first wife Maria as unknown till marr is checked, if her name is Butler on the 1841 census her father is Joaeph and mother Jane , on the BC tree there is a Joseph Butler 1786 and his wife is Jane Bloomer 1796 , they have a daughter Mariah born 1827, so it's something to think about if the marr checks ok.
I will also put John Coopers 2nd wife as Unknown till that marr is checked out.
