With regard to Leslie Phipps my dad remembers her so it's the right family.
Alf, Edward and Horace were all Edwards children not Harry's.

Edward died as follows

First Decemeber 1918 on elbow street
24 years old
Horse driver at blast furnace
Died of influenza
Edith Pitchford sister in law present at death at 82 waggon street

It says Leslie is a male on 1939 not female

Thanks Jimmy I think that's her, she was still living in old hill, Dudley so would have been under Rowley Regis not West Bromwich. A relative also said he thinks she died in the mid to late 50s so it adds up.
