they were rounded down to the nearest 5 years but some did recorded there actual age not many though

The public regis for Elizabeth at age 62....where was that from KP?
do you have the death certif?
or have you viewed it?
who is Jane Shilvock?....did she give you the info?
if so where did she get it from?
might be worth getting the death certif to confirm age at death.
and did you ever get the Clent Mi's?
anyone going to worcs and can verify that burial for Elizabeth in 1843
not at dudley unfortunately.

If this is her then it has to be a late bapt..........as Joseph son born/bapt in 1797

Hi ,
I have searched high and low and can't find my copy of the 1843 death info.
My cousin may have a copy and I am awaiting a response to an email to him. As I remember it wasn't particularly clear anyway.
I haven't seen the gravestone or MI, all I have is what has been provided ex Amplett ( Worcester records Office).
Jane Shilvock was.I presume, the person who reported the death,Here is one who lived in Clent viz

christening: 7 February 1813 CLENT, WORCESTER, ENGLAND
residence: Clent, Worcester, England
.I recall seeing an Ann Shilvock being married to Benjamin Lynes (another variation of the spelling! ) The Shilvocks were therefore "family"

I found this on freebmd....
01 Feb 1843 Clent. Elizabeth Boughton aged 65 widow of Charles Boughton (Tailor) Cause of death: debility. Informant: Jane Shilvock, Lower Clent REgistered death 06 Feb 1843
This seems to agree the Amphlett details from the gravestone he saw over 100 years ago where he noted that she was 65 when she died!

Whilst going through my old papers I noted Amphlett had commented about Martha's baptism.... ( one of the three illegitimate children)
" Charles and Samuel Boughton were bound in the sum of £40 to the Officers of Clent to indemnify the parishioners against Elizabeth Lines bastard child."
I think this was a bastardy bond*. I hasten to add there was no trace of such a bond at WRO in 1979/80 when I went there.
To be fair Charles Boughton did marry her once her aunt had passed away!

*For Info...
When a mother was expecting an illegitimate child, parish officials subjected her to an examination to try to determine the name of the father. They would then attempt to have him sign a bastardy bond which meant he was responsible for the maintenance of the child.

.I found one of Ann Loines,the wife of Joseph.I will send it to grangers14 hopefully soon.
Amphlett took the details from the gravestone he saw and that is where I established their age at death.
If the request was directed to me about BCC ,then yes please, although as I've said before I'm not brilliant at IT by any means!

according to will died 24 jan 1853 joseph lines (otherwise lions) effects under £20 left to Ann lines probate 4 june 1860

Hi Peterd,
Thank you for all your helpful comments and in particular the last one.Rather sad to think after a lifetimes work as a Nailer his estate was less than £20
I
Another point that I think might be relevant.....
The 1805 marriage was at Edgbaston? and ? by licence ( presumably in view of the short time scale
after the first Elizabeth died earlier that year). But why at Edgbaston?

So that must be info that someone has put in that actually has viewed the death certif
does anyone know re this?....ie is it like user submitted on free reg?
ie how reliable?
doesnt say who has added it?..........
KP you dont have the actual death certif do you?
