Yeah, I remember that one - especially sticking my feet in the paddling pool to cool off - were there no hosepipe bans then?


The hosepipe ban lasted for ages and we were all encouraged to share bath water. We were in Looe, Cornwall for our summer hols during the last two weeks of August. The rain started the day after we got back, I remember watching on the tele, cars being washed down the road and into the sea in Polperro.
