Think a trip to the archives would be a good idea! Can you just turn up or have to book?
I've got the date that Solomon b 1838, died (20 july 1914) and his son David (b 1857) died in 1904 if you want to put them on BCC. Again, thanks for your help!

Phone them up and you can book a reader book a fiche reader and a film reader
as you dont know which records you might need and may need both pieces of equipment.
You may need to take some forms of Identification to get a carn card but phone them and they will advise.

Do you want me to add your username on notes on Bcc so if anyone connects
they will see your username normandmal

normandmal wrote:Just to make sure, I'll get the birth certificate for Solomon! The line I follow is James b 1792, Solomon b 1838-1914, David b1856-1904, David b 1877-1952 and then my father James b 1916, who is now 96 years old! He is really interested family research and was pleased to know we had found that James's father was Thomas (thanks to all your help)! I asume that James's mothers name was'nt on the records that you found, so would I only be able to find it on a birth certificate?

Ok done that can you give me info on David pls who he married and date of marriage and where
if you have details can you post them and can add info in notes
