I am a domestic goddess and since I have found that big Mitt that Rob kindly flagged with me there is no stopping me!
Now don't I remember something about a bush by the front door ... Oh, no, that must have been someone else.
Methylated spirits - should be able to buy it easy enough. Try a hardware store. That's if the Big Mitt doesn't work out.
I think it is like that saying... a bird in a big mitt is worth 2 in a bush!
So this Meths just remind me again ....do you add water to the meths or meths to the water

ive told you about that meths before spend £3 and get a decent bottle of wine

I could NEVER hire a maid... I'd be worn out getting the house clean enough for her to enter
My Mom used to say" The dust will be around alot longer than you will ".. I took her seriously.--Always listen to your mother.

I used to have a housecleaning lady when I was working. It was LUVLEY! (Once I got over the must-clean-up-before-she-comes syndrome.)
I'd come home from work to a pristine house, pour myself something civilised, sit down in a comfy chair, and just look around contently breathing in the fumes of Mr. Sheen.
Oh yes, the Meths. Don't dilute it at all, NL. (I don't believe in adulterating spirits

). I used to put a little straight onto newspaper and polish the windows with that, but that doesn't work so well now that there isn't lead in the ink. So just put some onto a soft cloth and use some elbow grease.
Reminds me ... When I was a very new Girl Guide, I asked the troupe leader for advice on how to get my badge really bright & shiny. She told me to use elbow grease. I went home and asked my mum where we could buy elbow grease. She fell about laughing.

I agree FD.....a real woman's place is in the home .....honestly those people that have cleaners!
or Gardeners! tut tut!
Yes I like to have the house nice and tidy for any passing stranger that may call....actually they don't and I end up dragging them in off the street and say ...LOOK!! Do you not see how hard I have worked all day !!
I have a Self Cleaning Kitchen
when you make a mess clear up after your self!

Waste of time anyway. They only get dirty again. Let 'em cloud up and save on curtains.

They have come!!
I am so excited!!
They are called dusting puppies or something like that!
not real puppies of course!
and they are soooper dooper!
one swipe and dust vanishes
think I might have to clean the house first then keep on top of it with my Super puppies!
mind you £4 each!
but hey! who cares when you get something that thrives on dust!!
a womans best friend is her dusting puppy!
