All the French artist used to drink it, and it was called Absinthe ,made from herbs, which give it its aniseed taste. Apparently it could make you feel a bit odd so was banned. Now its made differently ,and within the law.

.Johnny Depp drank it in the film" From Hell", and it has been seen in many films and plays throughout the years.

absintine was banned because of it strenght it was originally 90% proof if i remember correctly pernod is about 40% richards and patises is about 45% proof
love anniseed and licoqurice based drinks

try sambuxo out of lidls its only 20% proof, clear is just anniseed, the black, aniseed and licoqrice, on offer now and again

I love aniseed balls ,and liquorice. Sherbet Fountains are yummy. I cannot eat chocolate because the caffeine makes me have palpitation. so if i need a sweet pick me up, i have aniseed balls.
