We have a couple more certificates related to this family...

Now have death certficate for George JORDAN .... though name John is used on the certficate...

15 Jun 1878....19 Court Suffolk St, Birmingham .....John Jordan aged 64 years ... occupation..butcher.. senile decay.. 19 Court Suffolk St. Birmingham... wife Helen Jordan present

Also birth certficate for another one of the children ... daughter Amy
5 Feb 1869
19 Court, Suffolk St, Birmingham, Warwickshire..... Amy Jordan ... daughter of George Jordan and Ellen Jordan ( formerly Wilkins)... father's occupation..butcher... address.. 19 Court Suffolk St. Birmingham

So looks like the same man.... George is John..... he uses both names for some reason?

Still not much progress on his earlier whereabouts and haven't been able to prove that his parents were John Jordan & Mary Commander of Hatton

Must keep digging!

Is this still a Brickwall, or have you solved it?

Unless otherwise advised this will be moved to the Brickwalls Archived section
