Trouble with Birchenall is that is can be spelt Birchenell and, quite often, Birchenough. (There is a Joseph Birchenough living on Sniddles Farm in 1851).

That makes these possible birth entries for Ann.

Annie I would dismiss as she is with her mother Maria in the 1871 census.

Thankyou. I think that Ann's birth is going to prove very difficult. There are too many of them. I give up!
Looking at the 1881 census...Philip & Caroline are both Warrington and Philip's mother (Mary aged 77) is also Warrington. His father was John Nadin/Naden so perhaps she was Warrington?? I can't think of any other connection.
Also, if Caroline was Birchenall, could Eliza aged 70 in 1881 be her mother do you think?
It's all very confusing. I've been studying it for ages and can't seem to get anywhere. Thanks for linking the Birchenalls to the family though
